Events and fundraising
Throughout the school year the PA hosts a variety of events – do get involved or just come along and enjoy them!
Menopause talk with Dr Kathryn Patrick - 8th October - 7:00pm
Dr Patrick is a GP, Director of Primary Care, and a Menopause Specialist. She will cover topics such as treatment options including HRT, lifestyle measures, myth-busting, and self-help strategies.
There is something for everyone in the community to enjoy!
500 Club
At the start of each school year we invite people to join our 500 Club. There are 10 monthly draws each with a top prize of £100 and the 30 prizes up for grabs throughout the year result in a total prize pot of £2,000.
The Big Colyton Art Show
A weekend exhibition and sale of art from professional artists and Colyton students, runs every other year. There is also a shop selling smaller gift items and a café. For more information visit www.thebigcolytonartshow.co.uk (Date to be confirmed)
Festive Fair
Our Festive Fair featuring over 20 exciting stalls selling everything from goats cheese and rum to turned wood and locally produced children’s books. The perfect opportunity to pick up Christmas gifts for every member of the family! (Date to be confirmed)
Winter Draw
Each year the PA organises summer and winter raffle draws. With really fantastic prizes on offer, this is a great and easy way to support the school whilst also having the chance to win some amazing goods and experiences!
Garden and Food Festival
This exciting new event in the PA calendar is open to both the school community and the general public. Stalls offered a wide variety of produce and products, from local food producers, craft stalls, plants, jewellery, tombola and much more! The 2024 event was hugely successful and we hope it will become an annual fixture.
Summer Draw
Each year the PA organises summer and winter raffle draws. We have had impressive prizes such as a £350 voucher for Salcombe Harbour Hotel, dining vouchers for the Pig at Combe and a Fortnum and Mason hamper. This is a great and easy way to support the school whilst also having the chance to win some amazing experiences.
Summer Fête
Every summer, the school holds an after-school fête late in the final term. It is organised by the (mostly younger) students. There is always a great theme and a great array of entertainment, stalls, games and refreshments. The PA runs uniform, books and refreshment stalls.
